Refund policy

Effective Date: 12/9/2025

1. General Policy

  • Because most of our items are handmade polymer-clay jewelry (particularly earrings), all sales are considered final sale by default.

  • We are unable to accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, size difference, or buyer’s remorse.

  • We cannot cancel an order once it has been processed (after payment and checkout).

2. When Refunds or Replacements Are Offered

We want you to be happy with your order — and we stand behind our craftsmanship. We will offer a refund or replacement only if one of the following occurs:

  • Your earrings arrive broken or damaged during shipping.

  • The earrings break within 7 days of delivery (dependent on earring style — if structurally defective).

To request a replacement or refund, you must contact us by email within 7 days of delivery with a photo of the damaged item, your order number, and a brief description of the issue. Once confirmed, we will either:

  • Replace the item (if the style is available), or

  • Refund the cost of the earrings (excluding shipping, unless we shipped them at no cost).

After 7 days from delivery, we cannot accept refund or replacement requests for breakage or damage, except in rare cases where we see a manufacturer defect.

3. Handmade & Material Disclaimer — What We Don’t Refund

Please note:

  • Because our jewelry is handmade, minor imperfections are often part of the process (slight color variations, small marks, tiny asymmetries, etc.). These are not considered defects. We do not offer refunds or exchanges for minor imperfections, aesthetic preferences, or subjective “not what I expected.”

  • We do not accept returns or refunds on items with brass charms or components due to the possibility of tarnishing, wear, or allergic reactions. We clearly list all materials used in each product’s description — please review them carefully before purchasing.

  • We are not responsible for metal tarnish, natural patina, or allergic reactions due to skin sensitivity or contact with metals. Those are considered after-sale issues and are not eligible for refunds or replacements.

4. Order Cancellation

Once your order is placed and processed (payment + checkout), we cannot cancel it. Please review your order carefully before completing checkout.

5. How to Report a Problem

If your order is damaged or defective, or if you believe there was a mistake, please:

  1. Email us at grace@belanze.com within 7 days of delivery.

  2. Include your order number, photos of the damaged item (in packaging + out of packaging), and a description of the issue.

  3. Wait for our confirmation email — do not send the item back until we approve the return or replacement.

Once approved: we will ship a replacement (if available) or process a refund for the item price. Shipping charges (original or return) are not refunded unless the damage was our fault.

6. Shipping, Return Costs & Processing Fees

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the damage was confirmed to be our fault (broken on arrival or due to manufacturing defect).

  • We are not responsible for shipping, handling fees, or shipping insurance if the item is lost in transit during return.

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item (if a return is required).

7. Non-Returnable Items

The following are always non-returnable / non-refundable / non-exchangeable:

  • Earrings sold as “final sale” or limited-run pieces

  • Items with brass components (charms, findings)

  • Any jewelry showing signs of wear, misuse, or damage caused by the buyer

  • Orders canceled after processing

8. Your Responsibility Before Purchasing

Because of the handmade nature of Belanzé jewelry: before placing your order, please:

  • Review the product photos carefully (color, size, style) — we take multiple photos (flat-lay, lifestyle, close-up) to show as much detail as possible.

  • Review the listed materials (clay, findings, charms) especially if you have metal sensitivities or allergies.

  • Understand that each piece may have small, natural handmade variations, which are part of its unique character.
